Note that the official report presented to the Legislature is in Adobe Acrobat format, and almost 30mb in size, which requires an extensive amount of time and space to down load. IN ANY DISPUTE OVER THE WORDING OF THIS DOCUMENT, THE VERSION POSTED AT THE NEW JERSEY STATE LEGISLATURE’S PAGE (at the above link) SHOULD BE CONSIDERED THE ONLY TRUE AND ACCURATE REPRESENTATION OF THE COMMISSION REPORT. The New Jersey Aviation Association (NJAA) has posted this Report solely for the convenience of those who are interested in a more casual examination of the sworn testimony given to, conclusions reached by, and recommendations of the Commissioners.
The New Jersey Aviation Association has taken the opportunity to display the Commission's Report because it represents what we believe to be a very accurate appraisal and analysis of the problems that face general aviation in New Jersey. The Report poses reasonable and practical solutions to many of these problems.
We trust that readers will approach this Report with an open mind. We hope that the Report inspires a meaningful dialog about our public airport system, its uses, problems, and benefits. Although sections of the Report may be taken out of context and used as arguments against public use airports, we hope that the meaning and spirit of the larger document contributes to public understanding of a transportation system that is critical to our State’s economic health and welfare.
